    Today, I and my daughter received exceptional services, by a gal in the Bellingham Bellis Fair Mall. I am not sure of her name, she did make the sale to me and she was of Hispanic descent. She made my and my daughter’s experience worth while and made us feel important.
    On April 29,2015, not only my daughter but my son, whom has an account as well at Kay Jewelers, made both my children feel inadequate! Initially, I was brining back the 2 rings and a necklace back after hearing the negative experience my two children received by a female associate by the name of Rai, whom works at the Bellis Fair mall as well.
    Both children report similar experiences such as feeling like they were not good enough to be in there purchasing items since their buys were not big ones.
    My daughter, a college student went in with a set budge of 150.00 and wanted to look around to see if she may want to invest more. Rai was serving her, and when Rai asked how much she wanted to spend my daughter told her maybe 100.00 and not being given the time to talk about what she wanted and how much she was willing to spend overall.
    Rai immediately cut her off mid-sentence and brought her over to the front of the register and showed her a ring and a necklace and said, since you only have a hundred dollars you should just stick with this.
    My daughter felt very intimidated to purchase what she did, the ruby ring and a blue necklace. My daughter asked her if the stones were real and Rai would not answer her question!
    When my son went to go and purchase a item for me, so happens on the same day, he shared a very similar experience!!! Rai, whom also helped him and his wife, stated here you go, and immediately showed him the ring that “they could afford.” Not to mention that she kept commenting to my son about his son, whom was a GIRL! This added to the overall disappointment and frustration of the purchase.
    Today, as stated earlier my intentions were to bring back all the items and bring my business elsewhere, however, when speaking to the lovely associate, I spoke to her about always wanting a charm bracelet.
    She immediately brought my daughter and I over to the display case and was explaining how these charms can be very personal to whom is not only buying it, but wearing it. We assumed that we would never be able to afford this based on Rai’s refusual to interact in a positive and empowering fashion. This was not the case with this associate!
    With this intial complaint, the associate that helped us, NOT RAI, encouraged me to fill out a credit application and I qualified. I ended up spending hours there with this associate where in which initially I only wanted to return the items. I ended up with a beauiftul charm as well as a beautiful ring along with a positive relationship with the associate.
    I told my son, only to deal with her, I don’t know her name, but described her. She has a lotus flower tattoo on her palm of her hand, has very beautiful manicured nails and is of Hispanic decsent.
    I hope you will convey to her the appreciation we had for her at the end of her day. She honestly, saved a sale and gained a customer.
    On the otherside of this coin, I hope that Rai understands that she should not assume that people don’t have a financial resource and even if they do, small or big, this could be a first experience that can taint a young persons view of going out on a limb and becoming more independent. I have encouraged my daughter to do this and the first time she did and it was unfortunate she got Rai. With that being said, I thank the sales associate today for her help and dedication to her job. It turned the negative experience into a positive one, not only for me but most importantly my children.

    I really like the Kay Jewelers store in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin!!! The people who work there are so nice and friendly and always make me feel so welcome! I bought a number of pieces from them and whenever I come back they remember me! I think that is really remarkable and makes me want to shop there a lot!!!     My husband purchased a Chocolate diamond ring for me for Christmas. The ring was a size 7 and needed to be down sized to a 6. We were told to bring it back to get resized after Christmas, we brought the ring back to the store ( Kay Jewelers) on January 10, 2016 to be PROMISED back by January 28th after 3 pm. We drove to the store (15 miles) and was told it wasn’t back yet, they would call when it arrives. We waited a week and called the store (at the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City) and was told ” we sent it to the Levion store and it could take 3 – 4 weeks to get it back! We were also told the lady who checked us out was new and didn’t know that. So after waiting longer I called the store again to be told he would call the Levion store to see when the ring would be done, he called me back to tell me that the store in California was finishing it and will be sent out in a day or two. I received a call 2 days later, it was in. My husband and I went to pick it up. I asked the lady where is the Levion store and she replyed ” Its in NY. I feel this is a terrible way to do business!
